Approach to the paradigmatic changes in curriculum visions of the Faculty of Architecture of the USAC

Abstract

The Faculty of Architecture has been subject to several changes in its conception as an institution and its curricula throughout its history. Almost 60 years after its founding this organization has made progress, breakups and even setbacks; the changes are displayed in different educational approaches favored by the context situations, political and academic interests and actors who intervened. This intends to make an approach to the issue of paradigm shifts that serve as a starting point for further research of comparative theoretical and historical order with other latitudes. For this five phases to delve into the history of the Faculty, which we have named are proposed: 1) the traditional model, 2) the model of social reconstruction, 3) the pragmatic approach, 4) strategic vision and 5) the phase of short term response. From a brief tour documentary analysis for each of these phases it is done, and reflect on situations that might affect changes of conception in the development of the faculty of architecture.
