Abstract

The disciplinary discourse in architecture
reflects its multidisciplinary nature, since it
has to nourish from different sciences or
disciplines. In this work, the author tries to
define a map of science that can identify
the disciplines present on the academic
discourse, studying a cohort of students of
the doctoral level. The study with a focus
on quantitative research, has taken into
account the bibliographic references and
their respective disciplinary fields, within
the doctoral thesis of the participants of
the doctorate in architecture, comparing it
with the fields of science as defined in the
Frascati Manual and by UNESCO.
