Abstract

The deterioration of natural areas due to the growth of populations, technological advances and the extraction of natural resources criteria, indiscriminately, cause changes in the landscape, which is now regarded as a criterion for establishing the environmental quality criteria which it was established in the European Landscape Convention held in Florence, Italy in October 20, 2000. The objective of the analysis is to establish evaluation through a landscape with a method of environmental condition with the Río Dulce National Park. The master plan 2005 - 2010 prepared by the National Council of Protected Areas shows that the park has 7 ecological units; however for reasons of space, only
will be presented two: a) canyon Mountains
karstikas the Río Dulce, and b) Floodplain of
the Chocón Machacas in Golfete, being the
most ecologically fragile areas, although in
the analysis and evaluation were conducted
for all ecological units For analysis and evaluation are used matrices of two entries proposed by a landscape of Spanish nationality. The method passes the qualitative to the quantitative assessment.
