Abstract

Architecture learning, like any other discipline, requires a sum of experiences that are usually sorted by themes, emphasis and levels of complexity, in order for the person to reach a desired level of mastery. In architecture the main axis of learning is usually the design workshop. In the case of the School of Architecture of the University
of Costa Rica, its study plan does not include a detailed description of the specific
purposes and domains that students must show when passing each level of design
workshop. Therefore, taking advantage of the participation in the Tuning AL project
and the execution of self-evaluations for accreditation, it was decided to undertake
an analysis of the situation, in order to propose a workshop model by training cycles, oriented on the competences model.
