Design Contextual validation
Keywords:
context as strategy, architectural designAbstract
The architectural design process consists of proposing creative solutions and for this purpose analyzes, organizes, resolves and contributes strategies on the functional, constructive, compositional and contextual conditions. The context can appear in the process as a germinal element and at the same time complementary in the development of the premises and to demonstrate it establishes how the context, historically, has served as a fundamental element in the conception of architectural projects. Three archetypical projects are analyzed to delimit the study, which illustrate and highlight three different ways of how the context stands out in the fundamentals of design and, above all, how it becomes a relevant strategy. Finally, contextual maps are promoted, as an academic proposal, to establish the contextual strategies in the design process. Context maps can help, as a complement to the design process, to develop strategies that complement the architectural proposal.
