The Historic Centre of Guatemala City usually exhibits a variety of architectures, reflecting the different temporalities through which it has passed in the city in its more than more than two hundred and forty years. Within these, specific styles of architecture can be understood, however, there are details that reveal interactions between one and another, or recreate epochs and connotations from other parts of the world. In this opportunity we focus on the anthropomorphic details that lie in several buildings several properties, of which more than forty expressions were a register of more than forty expressions, which, in the light of their contexts and some chronological parameters, refer to
details made between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Many of them are related to Art Nouveau and neoclassical expressions. However, there are a myriad of characteristics of each expression, which would allow us to infer and explain the works of these artists. Such is the case of their facial expressions, their size, their technique, their materials, their arrangement within the architecture and within the city, among others. This brief selection (with a Canon EOS Rebel T3 camera) to generate debate and encourage further research.
