Retrospective on the evaluation of Healthy Cities, the consequence of a Healthy Home

Abstract

The concept of Healthy City was an initiative of municipal order, -protagonized by 100 mayors from around the world-, based on the concept of create and live in a Healthy City; it is sought that the urban space belongs to those who inhabit it and live in it, by means of fulfilling a series of principles that are included in municipal urban planning. The Program of Supervised Professional Exercise -EPS-, Faculty of Architecture -FARUSAC-, of the University of San Carlos of Guatemala -USAC-; During the second semester of 2017, it carried out an urban evaluation exercise applying the Healthy City indicators in the 63 communities that covered the program throughout the republic. They are presented below: Objectives, methodology and results from one of the 63 communities atended at the research, which was selected at random. Some considerations and conclusions are made to the theme.
