Abstract

It is important to mention that it is necessary to make the population aware of the importance of the vestige, bearing in
mind that the restoration of monuments is the preservation of the objective sources of historical knowledge, guaranteeing
their interpretative effectiveness, defining an intimate relationship between history and restoration, the cultural identity of contemporary societies creating a process on the protection of past history.
Therefore it is essential to develop restoration and conservation projects that guarantee the existence in the future of
many existing vestiges.

    Arquitecta y Maestra en Restauración y Conservación de monumentos egresada de la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala en el 2011, 2017 respectivamente. Actualmente trabaja como asesora en el área de infraestructura de la Secretaría de Bienestar Social de la Presidencia de Guatemala.
