Abstract

Conference where it was made clear that the landscape-architectonic work of Recinos
connects with the modern plastic expressionism, by creating spaces and forms of resolute plastic quality. They also belong to the so-called Total Art, by creating
envelopes in their entirety, of a large territorial scale. Also the originality and strange beauty of its creation in a context marked by bloody political repression and the poverty of the majorities so it can constitute an antithesis to such a harsh reality, an oasis of beauty and hope.

    Carlos Ayala Rosales, realizó la licenciatura en arquitectura en la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala (USAC) posteriormente mediante una beca de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) estudió la maestría en urbanismo en la Ciudad de México. Es investigador titular de DIFA y profesor de varios cursos de historia del urbanismo y de planificación urbana. Posee varias investigaciones, algunas publicadas, sobre la historia de la arquitectura y el urbanismo de Guatemala.
