Abstract

Diagrams have been used in the sciences a
long time ago and not only in architecture,
the article establishes the origins of
diagramming, in a diachronic journey that
goes from the Rennaissance to our days.
The article also searches the different types
of diagrams, its definitions and the different
ways to classify functional relationships.
Identifies the main authors in architecture
that have made proposals regarding
diagramming, establishing the evolutive
sequence among them and later, comparing it with final grade thesis works of Farusac.
