Abstract

The research addresses the historical urban landscapes of late-colonial Guatemala
City as large-scale artistic creations, considering the importance of the symbolic,
social and natural order that is manifested in each of the spaces studied. The exhaustive conceptual and historical theoretical base is valuable and is presented through diagrams in plan, section, facades and photographs with which it manages to explain in a forceful way the design of the structure and urban image of Nueva Guatemala. The book was presented on October 12, 2022 at the Luis Cardoza y Aragón Auditorium of the Embassy of Mexico in Guatemala.
