Review of the doctoral thesis plastic integration in modern architecture of the private sector in Guatemala City (1954-1976)

A critical analysis of buildings

Abstract

After the graduation of some students of the first cohort of the Doctorate in Architecture at the San Carlos of Guatemala
University, a task that is essential for postgraduate graduates, consists in the dissemination of the thesis final results. The
purpose is to share the knowledge generated by the authors of the documents. It was due to the interest shown by prominent academics that Doctor Jorge Mario López Pérez, graduated in November 2016, had the opportunity to present his doctoral thesis, as a review, at two of the most important universities in Guatemala. In May 2017 it was by the invitation of the
doctor in Philosophy of Art, Silvia Herrera Ubico, that López presented the results of his research in the Diploma in Modern
and Contemporary Art of the Department of Education of the Francisco Marroquín University.
