Abstract

The place to locate housing in the city is one
of the important decisions for all families.
The disciplines that study the city as the
Urban Economics and Urban Geography
provide analytical tools to identify the
factors that determine the choice of housing location. From the analysis of three aspects of the configuration of the city as the city size, spatial distribution and interaction of urban activities, are intended to identify factors affecting the location of housing. Some features of the city of Guatemala were used to explain them; such as land value, which is critical in determining the choice of location of housing
